the silver lining

this man is extremely well spoken. of course i’m not going to jump on the bandwagon and say he’s an amazing politician, because this is the first time i’ve heard of him, but he comes across as smart and well spoken and everything in this video is so right on par with what i firmly believe. word.

the best way to help change the way people view homosexuality is by talking to them about it. we all have closed minded relatives and friends and just by being open and honest, a lot can change. i think the hatred and fear comes from ignorance. i honestly had a heart-to-heart with my mother last year and she promised she look into it more and read articles and study scripture further because i made her stop and think of it in a whole new light. that means a lot to me and even if she doesn’t change her mind entirely, i think she’ll at least be more open to the conversation.
